DID YOU KNOW THE AVERAGE FAMILY
DOESN’T HAVE A MEETING SPOT
HASN’T DONE A FIRE DRILL
DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO USE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER
DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO PUT OUT A GREASE FIRE
IT WON’T HAPPEN TO ME
Like any other accident or tragedy, no one thinks they’re going to have a home fire. The sad thing is with fire, if you’re not prepared before it happens waiting till after it happens can results in tragedy
MY SMOKE ALARMS WILL ALWAYS GO OFF ON TIME
Seems like a reasonable assumption right? If you have a smoke alarm anywhere near a kitchen what does it do everytime we cook bacon or burn toast?…. That’s right , it goes off. We think its “overly sensitive” cause we can’t even see the smoke. Think again smoke from cooking is different than smoke coming from a burning sofa or other materials in our home and could take up to 30 min to go off.
I haVE WIRED IN ALARMS THAT CAME WITH MY HOUSE, I’M GOOD RIGHT?
You would think so, the problem is the alarms that your contractor put in or the ones you bought a the local big box store are probably using old technology that’s been around for over 40 years and hasn’t changed. In today’s house fire they have failure rates that will shock you.
My current alarms meet “Code”
Keep in mind that code is just the “minimum”. Codes vary region to region but most say to put smoke detectors in Bedrooms, Hallways outside bedrooms and 1 per floor . So where does the fire have to be for those to even see the smoke? Exactly in the bedroom or hallway. Think of all the rooms in your home where fires can start…. Kitchen , Attic, Unfinished Basement, Laundry Room, Garage, even the Dining Room. Would you rather know about those fires while they’re still in those rooms or wait till they get to where you’re sleeping?
THERE’S PLENTY OF TIME TO ESCAPE
30 Years ago we had up to 17 minutes to get out of the house. Today we have less than 3 min. How long will it take for you to get you and your family up the night of your fire?
WE ARE PREPARED
Where’s your meetings spot, better yet does everyone in your family know where it’s at? If you have 2nd story bedrooms how will you get out if you can’t get down the stairs? Where’s your extinguisher? Under the kitchen sink? When was the last time you looked at it? How old is it?
Are you safer with your bedroom door closed or open?
If you answered closed CONGRATULATIONS. If you answered open you’re not alone, less than 30% of americans sleep with their bedroom door closed. Schedule a free fire safety consultation with us to find out why!
We have ADT or another monitoring company. why US?
Most monitoring companies don’t provide whole home protection. Most people just assume they are covered but in reality they’re really not. Go check where they’re installed at. They probably only put one one each floor. That’s like putting a security system in and out of 20 windows and doors only putting motions sensors on 3 of them. Are you as protected from fire as you thought? Let them handle your security, let us handle your families fire protection
